Monday News

on the 1st day of christmas countdown my nevski gave to me..... a challenge.

We said If we took £300 on a monday (!) we would insist that the shop stereo would only pump out the output of swedish palindromatic beat combo the Abba.

Now this was stupid bravado because:

a) we dont normally open on mondays, so didnt expect to have many customers

b) no one set the rules for what contributed towards the total taken.

So close of play on Monday and we had taken about £230 in the shop (which is actually superTrooper!) BUT.... one of ouor bigger customers paid their invoice, and the days takings were technically £1500.

We put it to the vots of those who follow on Facebook, and of course the cruel bastards said it counted and we'd reached the total.

Tuesday news.

There are 59 tracks on the anniversary edition of Abba Gold greatest hits. and the total run time is about 3 hours and 50 minutes. from no 20 onwards, even the most ardent Sven Goran Ericsson fan would struggle to say they've heard that one before.....

so anyway. it happened. we did it. aha!

Tuesdays challenge (on the second day of christmas etc etc) was to sell a pair of shorts in the pouring rain. if that was achieved, Nevski promised to buy some Mint spies for his friends at Bridge Troll Hobbies. Genuinely expect Reuben to pop in and spend £6 on some shorts for free christmas treats. but with 22 minutes till closing, this hasnt happpened. phew. no trip to tesco for us today......

but what of wendesday i hear you cry?

Wednesday challenge is simple. if we sell a NOTTINGHAM FOREST SCARF (online or in the shop) Nevski will work on thursday wearing an elf hat, and will only speak in rhyme.
