November 22nd - Christmas lights switch on day in Tivvy!

its that magical day of the year that you can guarantee rain,/gales/extreme cold/the ghost of Trevor Maunder to visit upon you.

For that reason i got up late, and opened the shop half an hour later than usual on a saturday.

HOWEVER I am planning on being open until 6PM tonight, when there will be a countdown from 10, leading to someone throwing a big fake switch to pretend to turn the christmas lights on (whilst somewhere else out of site, someone in a HI VIZ coat will take their life in their hands placing 2 bits of white together at arms length. Whoever does this job then has to work out how to get some tape (presumably theyve got 3 or four arms) and make good the connections. Either that or they are on double overtime from 6pm till 7am daily standing there holding the whole thing together.
